The series of paintings presented by María Bibiana Anguio corresponds to her degree thesis. It is the end of a journey with a time of maturation, a passage from the reference to her characters and her things, to the territory.
Way towards herself, beginning of the dialogue with the other.
The images propose at least two possibilities: a path in which, as spectators from the outside, we perceive an extensive time, built by a succession of brushstrokes and elements that summon a growing space. Neither full, nor empty, assuming the silence of the matter.
The other path makes us active, it establishes a fragment of already forgotten story. We are proposed to enter the scene: only through space do we conquer space. We together with the certainty of silence breaking the void. An ambiguous, masked route. We move towards something-nothing. A light insinuates itself, hesitantly we move forward, withdrawing. A space opens up in retreat where the elements are grouped together in a clarity that belongs only to them.
